Trains:
When traveling from Bangkok to Koh Samui, we highly recommend
you to reserve a night sleeper train. These are more comfortable
and also ensure smoother bus and ferry connections. All
trains run from Hualamphong Bangkok Station, & we
advise you buy a combination ticket which will include
all your transport right through to Koh Samui.
Ferries:
Seatran Ferry and Raja Ferry run on a regular schedule
every one and half hours starting from 6:00 a.m. until
6:00 p.m. |

Planes:
There is only one domestic airline that flies into Koh
Samui – Bangkok Airways. Check for flight schedules
or make online reservation at www.bangkokair.com.
If want to spend more time visiting Suratthani, then we
suggest you to fly with Thai International Airways www.thaiairways.com.
Make sure to buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment
and always reconfirm your flights at least 24 hours in
advance.
Buses:
There are bus services from Bangkok to Koh Samui that
depart from the Southern Bus Terminal. These are all air-conditioned
buses, a selection of VIP, first and second classes available.
Buses are also available departing from Hualamphong Bangkok
Station, sales office located on the 2nd floor. For an
easier and cheaper journey, buy a bus/ferry combination
tickets.
Extending
Your Stay:
Foreigners are allowed to stay 30 days in the kingdom
without a visa. For tourist visa these generally last
for 60 days. If you enjoy Koh Samui and desire to take
a longer vacation, you have the opportunity to extend
another 30 days. You should contact Samui’s Immigration
